Trains From KL Sentral to TBS
There are two options if you want to catch a train to TBS. First is
through the KTM Komuter train and second is through the KLIA Transit
train. Both are reliable but there are differences in fares and
frequency of departures from KL Sentral.
KLIA Transit or KTM Komuter Train to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan TBS)
KTM Komuter from KL Sentral to TBS
The Bandar Tasik Selatan where TBS is located is only
FOUR Station away from KL Sentral. The journey from KL Sentral to TBS using KTM Komuter train will take about
17 minutes. Train arrives about every
15 minutes (every 30 minutes after 9.30pm).
To take the KTM Komuter Train from KL Sentral, head to the KTM Komuter platform. Purchase the ticket to
Bandar Tasik Selatan which costs
ONLY RM1.00. Catch the KTM Komuter Train that head to the Sungai Gadut direction on the Rawang – Sungai Gadut Line.
The first KTM Komuter Train to Bandar Tasik Selatan TBS departs from
KL Sentral at 5.55am while the last train departs at 11.30pm.
KLIA Transit Train from KL Sentral to TBS
From KL Sentral, you can also take KLIA Transit Train to Terminal
Bersepadu Selatan TBS. Note that KLIA Transit Train is not to be
confused with KLIA Express Train which is a non-stop train between KL
Sentral and KL International Airport. If you take the KLIA Transit
Train, Bandar Tasik Selatan is only ONE station away from KL Sentral.
The journey only takes about
7 MINUTES. The train frequency
is every 20 minutes during peak hours (Monday to Friday 6:00am-9:00am and 4:00pm-10:00pm) or every
30 minutes during off-peak hours.
The
first train to TBS departs from KL Sentral at
4.33am and the
last train departs at
12.03am (Midnight).
The ticket fare for KLIA Transit Train from KL Sentral to TBS is
RM4.20.
Walking Direction from Bandar Tasik Selatan Station to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS)
Upon arriving at Bandar Tasik Selatan station on the KTM Komuter
Train or KLIA Transit, you need to walk across a pedestrian bridge to
get to the main building of Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS). Escalators
are available on the way where climbing up to different levels are
necessary.
Walking direction
Alight the train and walk towards the main entrance. For KTM Komuter
Train, from the main entrance, take the pedestrian link bridge towards
Terminal Bersepadu Selatan TBS main building. For KLIA Transit Train,
take the escalator or lift to LEVEL 3 and walk across the link bridge
towards the main lobby of Terminal Bersepadu Selatan TBS.
Taxi From KL Sentral to TBS
While taking either the KTM Komuter Train or the KLIA Transit Train
is very convenient, those who travel with heavy baggages, young kids and
family may want to travel on a taxi for less hassle. However, the taxi
fare from KL Sentral to TBS is a bit costly compared to trains. For a
budget taxi, the taxi fare is about
RM19 to RM 28. For an
executive taxi, the fare is about
RM30-42. The reason is because TBS is actually about 12km away from KL Sentral.
